Dixie's Weekly Woof

Hey ya'll, I know, I know it's been awhile since my last Woof but, it has been really busy. Here at The Metro Mutt we have been making a lot of new friends and helping exercise all these doggies can be tiring but I have adjusted and now I am getting my second wind (personally I think that Daddy should get me a personal assistant so I can just dictate my Woof) Plus we have been checking out some new places to sniff around like Cunningham park in Milton. Well ya'll should check out some of the pics of me and my pals new and old. Well gotta go and get some beauty rest, night all.

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers of The Metro Mutt!!
Some exciting news!! We will be welcoming another Aussie to TMM . . .I have to save my paws for running and am now abbreviating The Metro Mutt to TMM. . .back to Aussie, I've heard that he is a very cute rescue just like me. An Aussie and an Ozzie, TMM is a sucker for a cool accent. "G'day Metro Mates!"
What a weird week! We had some strange weather. It poured one day and was sunny the next. Some of my buddies don't really like the rain, but I love it. I can understand with all the mud and water getting in between your paws. . .I'm not sure my fur really dried out until Sunday, but i guess I just like to get dirty! Sunday was great. We went my grandparents for Mother's Day. What did the friends of TMM do? No really. . .it is not all about me. . .I DO want to know! But back to me, I had so much fun with my fat Uncle Leo, and later, we stopped and played at one of my favorite suburb parks, Stoddard's Neck, and ran into an old friend, Bueford, and made some new ones like Mayble (short for Maybeliene. . .I really think she does where make up and I'm JEALOUS!)
Well, the weather is lookin' up and all of us Metro Mutt's hope to meet some new friends to join our pack. We are so excited that our pack is growing and will need some suggestions for some fun new places to go so we never get bored!

Well, what can I say? It has been a very busy month and typing with paws is not easy!
A lot has gone on since I last woofed. I got some new friends in the Metro Mutt crew- my buddies Jake & Mack. Just the other day we had a double date with "the Girls" Maggie & Emma. We all went on a day trip to Stoddards Neck where we all went swimming and played. . . it was a nice change from city life!
Also, Mommy is now trying to burn down the house making home made treats for us Metro Mutts and I get to taste test them all! All my Metro Mutt buddies. . .trust me. . .they taste better than they look, and I don't mess around when it comes to my treats! Just try one. The cheddar bites are my favorites (much better than BBQ).
I have to give a "woof out" to my friend Jay at the Ritz. That's right. . .The Metro Mutt is goin' upscale (yea right who am I kidding?) but it would be fun to expand my horizons to the squirrels and birds in the commons and the South End.
Well nighty night all. Got to get my beauty rest so I can check out some Quincy hot spots like Wally beach while "my kind" is still aloud to kick up some sand for the season!!

Hey Y'all sorry about missing all those days but Dad and me were very busy making new friends and playing with old ones like my Uncle Leo. We call him that because my Dads parents call him, his Pug brother which makes Mommy laugh. . . "I wonder why?" we had so much fun playing at my grandparents yard where you can see boats in the harbor. Leo is the biggest pug I have ever met and I have met quite a few. I only weigh 6 more pounds than him. Later we went to Stoddard's Neck a dog park (click here for link to map) on the Hingham,Weymouth we sometimes take field trips there its awesome you can run around, swim, hunt squirls etc. . . and best of all there are plenty of dogs to play with.

Today we went to Dorchester Park with the girls Maggie and Emma. We did some laps around the park and I didn't understand why I couldn't just go and hunt some squirrels! Humans can be so silly about their exercise. . .and all the girls want to do is chase that tennis ball OR growl at each other like the Ewoks Daddy watched on the TV the other day! They don't realize I have things to do and squirrels to chase. . .mental note. . .will explain all of this to Daddy for next time.
Well everyone, must run. . .I have to work on perfecting my southern yodel and figure out a way to get dibs on my favorite blanket for the evening!

I am soo tired today! I spent most of my day plotting how to get in the water at castle island! It was almost 60 degrees who cares if it isn't quite spring yet? Ok. . .maybe it was a bit windy!
Even though I was sneaky and tried to take a dip, I still got to go to that little park near the water. . .I always forget the name. . .I can't read anyways! BUT I did meet some great new friends Bear(a big golden) and Henry(bulldog/beagle mix). What's up guys!
Well, that's it for today. . .YAWN. . .time to retire to my gigantic bed!
